Okay 1st of all, yes i know it’s “just a TV show” but let me say this, it does relect real life and this type of thing does go on…

basically Quinn in glee, who is of course PRESIDENT OF THE CELIBACY CLUB goes and FUCKS her boyfriends best friend ends up preggers and decides to keep the kid.

What’s my problem? EVERYTHING. so she cheats, fine. so she decides to ruin her life…fine…i guess. but then she traps her caring boyfriend. he’s will to do everything and anything for htis unborn child who he thinks is his. he’s even giving her his baby blanket which is the ONLY reminder of his late fater for a child that isn’t even HIS!

Word up! So Bristol Palin, the poster child or abstinence *cough*,  has now decided that she wants $1750 a month for child support from what’s his face. Now i’m not against dad’s paying child support, obviously. But what I am against is denying father’s rights. This  boy, unfortunately, has spawned and he does have a right to see his kid. Yes, he’s a bonehead but so is she. They decided to lie down together despite their phony Christian promise rings, and they have to deal with the consequences. To ensure a good home life the child should have access to BOTH parents. Because after she’s bought her Gucci bags with all the child maintenance money, and the kid turns out rotten, next thing we’ll hear is “he grew up without a father”. RIGHT.

Just found out that the Focus on the Family Group combined with quarterback Tim Tebow will have an advert run during the Superbowl about anti-abortion. First of all this is no time to saddle-bag people with this sensitive topic. Yes, i do realize that Janet Jackson’s nipples were out and everybody went ape-shit. Guys it was a NIPPLE, we’ve all seen one. GET OVER IT. GET COUNSELING, I AIN’T TRYING TO HEAR THAT SHIT. Before you get you knickers in a twist, may a i remind you that erectile dysfunction ads are on 24-7 but nobody complained about them, think of the children!  You can’t pick from column A and column B. You want to present that you have “morals”, well TICK ALL THAT APPLY!

I’m not gonna try to get really deep into this issue, all i have to say is, great for Mrs. Tebow. Tim turned out to be stellar kid. but what about all those other kids, huh? What about those with crack-head mothers that won’t look after them, that don’t have a support network, that are so strung out they don’t realize that noise in the back room is the baby crying because it’s hungry? What about low income families that can’t afford a kid? What kind of quality of life will these innocent children have? I highly doubt FotF will have the resources for this OR that those people will have access to those sites. I’m not saying i don’t appreciate what they do in other facets in terms of giving advice or charity work, however i simply don’t agree with this. having a kid is no joke, it’s not like a sweater you can take out and wear whenever you want and put it back again. it’s a life changing decision that invokes every fiber of your being and if some people aren’t ready for this  there should be options. I know i’m going to hear, “well maybe those peole should be more careful” well then so should have Mrs. Tebow.

Another film about the plight of Brown people…

I went to see Avatar over the weekend and to sum it up it was a beautiful film, aesthetically speaking anyway. Lots of colors.

I enjoyed seeing it tho the 3D effects gave me a splitting headache so much so I thought I’d be ill…could have something to do with sitting so close to the front…Anyhoo it tells of the plight of these money hungry corporate douches who want to bulldoze their way into the habitat of the “savages” for some precious metal or other.

Basically it retells the story of how time and time again how white people come in paying no attention or at least proving that they have no empathy, and exploiting brown people and their land for their own selfish gain. it’s the story of Africa (for all of you who don’t read books, i’m not talking about slavery, i’m talking about natural resources), Latin America, the Native Americans etc. I’m not going to go on and on because that story is old and you all know it. and i don’t wanna hear any BS about “making us feel guilty” etc. “why should we (now) be held accountable for something our ancestors did?”. no you shouldn’t feel guilt unless your attitude hasn’t changed.. but sometimes i don’t think you realize how pre-historic your attitudes can sometimes be, that that’s for a different entry..

What i really wanna say is that i envy the avatars. and no not because they’re blue or get to ride on strange looking pterodactyls or whatever, but because life is so simple. yeah sure they don’t have an ipod or the internet or badass cars. but they also didn’t have social strife (until they were getting attacked). everybody had a purpose, and everybody was important. there was no depression or worries about how they’re gonna pay the rent or how they’re gonna eat. their kids didn’t have to worry that Tommy next door had cooler kicks than they did. they all just seemed so happy… i know obviously it’s a film and Utopian but it brings me to the point that humans i think have stopped evolving.

now i don’t mean technologically speaking because clearly we’ve done so much in the last 20 years it’s insane (think back to when you first heard of the cell phone or that ubiquitous “you’ve got mail”).

but socially. we’ve become so self obsessed, materialistic, and just plain selfish and i think we’re socially stunted. i feel as modern humans, we’ve lost some of that humane quality that made us human. it seems the avatars were uniquely bonded, not disjointed and withdrawn like we’ve become (think about Kitty Genovese, nobody came to her help, not to mention that bastard got a degree in prison! again different entry)

What’s worse is that people will see this and think that all of Islam is this way, which it isn’t. Stupid, disgusting, barbaric acts like this will not help shake the “one bad apple, spoils them all” mentality held by some…

Caveat Emptor

I’m writing to warn you about some shysters who almost scammed me!

Basically I got a phone call off some bloke who said that I had applied for something and asked if I had a showreel. I said “no” and he said he’d call me back. The next day he phoned up and said that the casting director was out of the country but really wanted me for one of the main roles, so they’d have to see me in something. He proposed that they do a showreel for me, consisting of me acting different scenes out from the piece. When I asked him if he could send me the sides for the role, he said he couldn’t because “they didn’t want me to be tied down/attached to just the one role as this particular part would be composed of different characters.

I didn’t want to sound unprofessional by not remembering the name of the production (because as actors, I’m sure you all know, you apply to so many different things, it’s hard to keep up!) so I asked him the name of the role, he kinda just fobbed me off. Then the icing on the cake was that this showreel they they were going to do for me would cost £245.00. When I said that was too expensive he said then £180.00. I told him STILL too expensive then he asked, “what amount is good for you?” I just said “let me know if ever do real auditions and I may consider it” and hung up.

Just a couple of points:

• He called me outside of “working hours” in the evening (which isn’t unusual as such but sometimes…)
• He said I applied for something but he never sent me an email once
• He never once mentioned the name of the character or production
• He basically proposed that I pay for something that they wanted. When really they could have just auditioned me and sent the casting director the tapes/uploaded them onto a website
• Who’s to say that after I paid, they would say that I didn’t get the part (or that they would have filmed me at all)
• When I told him it was too expensive he kept trying to negotiate!

I think he got my details off CCP or some similar website. Just beware!

FUCK OFF.  Just fuck RIGHT off. The problem is Danyl is f-AMAZING. He can sing circles round everyone. He came out and blew the judges away. I’m sure they were all wetting themselves hoping they would get him. But seeing as it’s Simon’s show, he of course got him. And the rest…well I mean Louis got the groups…again. But see a certain little green eyed monster going by the name of Cheryl Cole decided that she didn’t like him. And since she shits gold, clearly everyone must follow like cattle to the slaughterhouse. Everyone started bitching about him about how he was bully (calling the kettle black ay Cheryl, Danni)…

Then of course Dannii who is only got the job because she shares the same last name as her sister decides to out him to the public! How INAPPROPRIATE. How would she like it if someone just blurted out that she had a massive yeast infection cottage cheeseing all over the place. But then afterwards been like, “well we were talking/joking about it earlier, so everything’s completely fine!” Of course nobody cares if she has a yeast infection or not, but it’s still personal information that shouldn’t be shared with like 10 million people.

What really gets me is how Miss Cole was always goin’ on about how he was “cocky”. I’m sorry what? I mean she classes herself as some kind of singer (cough Fight for this love, I’d fight to NOT hear that song again) then she should flippin’ know that who you are on stage is different to who you are normally. Beyonce (lookin’ fab in her red lingerie number by the way) has an alter ego named “Sasha (Fierce)” but nobody accuses her of being cocky. She is CONFIDENT. There is a DIFFERENCE.

I find that Brits are all about their humble pie and not being too proud. Hubris is a bad thing, yes. But taking pride in who you are/what you do/what you’ve achieved is natural and GOOD for you, like vitamins.  Nevertheless  Britain is choc full of these “making the star” shows but they don’t really want a star. They want builder Joe you can do his bit then get on with it. NEWSFLASH BRITAIN: THAT’S NOT WHAT A STAR IS! A star has QUALITY, the X-Factor even. They’re supposed to be flashy, charismatic, and most of all GOOD AT WHAT THEY DO! If you don’t want that, then WHY BOTHER? ?!?!?!?!!
